Post-Surgery Group Therapy

Purpose

Group therapy is led by one of our licensed social workers who will teach a group of 5-10 patients proven strategies for managing specific problems.

Group Therapy is available to all of our patients who have had bariatric surgery.  Sessions will be held virtually for an hour each week and cover the following topics:

• Developing a regular eating pattern
• Emotional eating
• Behavioral strategies for eating
• Exercise
• Coping with social situations

• Via Zoom
   

Enrollment

Group therapy is a billed service that can be covered by your insurance.

• Contact your insurance to know your benefits.
• Group therapy CPT code for insurance is 90853.
   

If you do not have insurance, or prefer not to use your insurance, group therapy is available for $54 per session. Health Savings Account and Flex Savings Account dollars can be used for the program.
