October through December is our busiest time of year! Health insurance deductibles are often met and health savings account dollars need spent. Understandably, patients come to us with urgency to get their bariatric surgery scheduled and completed!

At Iowa Weight Loss Specialists and Iowa Specialty Hospital, we are committed to meeting the end of year demand. As of now for 2014, there is availability on the surgical schedule with openings filling up quickly.

All insurance requirements are different and sometimes it's not possible to fulfill those requirements in a short period of time. However, if you have Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Iowa as your health insurance carrier, there is still a great chance of getting the approval completed and procedure done by the end of the year.
