Iowa Weight Loss Specialists is thrilled to announce that we have been named a Center of Excellence from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP).

MBSAQIP is a joint program from The American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) to advance the care of bariatric patients and ensure accredited surgical centers are providing the highest standards for all patients.

The process for achieving this accreditation is very involved and includes many requirements as well as an on-site inspection of the surgical facility. Since we opened, our team has been dedicated to providing excellence to our patients in the form of resources, inpatient and outpatient facilities, and support, so this is truly a reflection of our team’s commitment to exceeding our patients’ expectations.
