We are dedicated to providing the best for our patients and team members. It is vital that we supply current and informative resources to our patients so that they understand and can make educated decisions about their health. It is also vital that we, as a team, are current and knowledgeable about new medications, new research and new methodologies pertaining to our practice.
Attending continued education conferences and events are opportunities for us to stay informed on the latest developments in surgical weight loss practices so we can continue to provide the best care for our patients.
From June 23 – 25, we attended the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery’s (ASMBS) annual Obesity Week-End clinical symposium in Las Vegas, NV.
This event consisted of everything from roundtable discussions with other leading surgeons to best practices for support groups to how to minimize complications, and much more.
Dr. Eibes states, “Attending conferences like this is not only valuable to us as surgeons, but most importantly, it helps us to be able to provide our patients with hard data and research pertaining to obesity and their health and wellness.”
This fall we will be attending the 33rd Annual ASMBS Obesity Week Conference, which we have attended every year since opening. This is a full week of keynote speakers, hands-on skill training, clinical research review, obesity intervention discussions, public policy review and more.
