After a bad divorce and struggling with weight and depression, PJ sought help from IWLS through counseling services with Paige Harnish, LISW.

I wanted to tell you all about my experience with Paige Harnish, LISW, at Iowa Weight Loss Specialists. When I came to the office for help, I was overweight following a bad divorce and even had thoughts of suicide.

I had sleeve gastrectomy several years earlier so could not have surgery again. I was told to see Paige for help. When I started I thought there was no way she could help me because I was so depressed.

However, Paige saved my life and got me back on track with weight loss with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), learning to eat healthier, and weekly therapy. I no longer have thoughts of suicide. I’ve lost 30 pounds, and I’m still losing. I now have a dog to take care of, and I have worked on getting my life back together. Paige has been a real blessing for me, and I would highly recommend her.
