I went to Weight Loss clinic years ago when it first started. At that time, the experience was mediocre. This time it is much different as far as weight loss options, care and resources available. I recommend this clinic to anyone who is interested in weight loss. Staff has been extremely helpful.

I wish I could give Maria an 10 score. She's compassionate and knowledgeable about weight loss but also cares about the person, open to my opinions and thoughts so we can discuss.

As soon as she walked in and saw the wheelchair I knew it would not go well. At first she was nice and we talked about my medical history. But after awhile she started nitpicking at every little thing. Especially a small bout of prediabetes about 10 yrs ago wit networking and I told her that I have had normal A1C ever since then, but she wasn't convinced I was not diabetic. She also referred to my last echocardiogram a few months ago and told me I had hypertension. I was completely dismissed by cardiology with no hypertension at all and they gave me a sleep study with no evidence of sleep apnea shown. She kept arguing that I had hypertension and the only reference to that would be that I take propanalol whish is usually prescribed for high blood pressure but I take it for a preventative of migraines which works wonderfully. Sometimes I do have to watch my blood pressure which will drop down to 90s but I have had no dizziness or other symptoms so they just leave It,. But she went on a tirade that I have hypertension when I could have showed her my echo test where no hypertension found was In results but she wouldn't listen to me at all. .

I love working with Maria. She's the first medical practitioner I've worked with in a long time who really listens to me. I also like that she challenges me a little bit. So many doctors I've worked with just kind of nod and move along, but Maria actually engages in the conversation. When she says, "But what if we try this instead," or, "Have you thought about it this way," it shows me that my success matters and I matter.
